With all the massive delusions and deceptions that are taking place in the world today it is imperative that God’s people are able to make a clear distinction between the church and the rest of the world. In the world today in the sight of God, there are three (3) groups of people, and they are distinguished as follows:
• The Jews
These
are the chosen people of God to whom were committed the oracles of God, as it
is written; “What advantage then has the Jew, or what the profit of
circumcision is? Much in every way! Chiefly because to them were
committed the oracles of God. For what if some did not believe? Will their
unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not!
Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar” (Romans
3:1-4).
With
regards to Israel it is written; "For you are a holy people to the Lord
your God; the Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for Him-self, a
special treasure above all the peoples on the face of the earth. The
Lord did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number
than any other people, for you were the least of all peoples; but
because the Lord loves you, and because He would keep the oath which He swore
to your fathers, the Lord has brought you out with a mighty hand, and redeemed
you from the house of bondage, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.'
"Therefore know that the
Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a
thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments; and
He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be
slack with him who hates Him; He will repay him to his face” (Deuteronomy
7: 6-10).
The
irony of truth is, God has not cast away His people
Israel whom He foreknew, and their rejection is not final.
In fact, through their fall, to provoke them to jealousy, salvation has come to
the Gentiles. Now if their fall is riches for the world, and their
failure riches for the Gentiles, how much more their fullness! For if their
being cast away is the reconciling of the world, what will their acceptance be
but life from the dead? The truth of the matter is, if
they do not continue in unbelief, they will be grafted in, for God is able to
graft them in again.
And
so we have been instructed by the apostle Paul saying; “For I do not desire,
brethren, that you should be ignorant of this mystery, lest you should be wise
in your own opinion, that blindness in part has happened to Israel until the
fullness of the Gentiles has come in. And so all Israel will be
saved, as it is written: "The Deliverer will
come out of Zion, and He will turn away ungodliness from Jacob; for this is My
covenant with them, when I take away their sins."
Concerning the gospel they are
enemies for your sake, but concerning the election they are beloved for the
sake of the fathers” (Romans 11:25-28).
The
crux of the matter is, Gentiles who once were disobedient to God have now
obtained mercy through the disobedience of the Jews, and even so Gentiles also
have now been disobedient, that through the mercy shown towards them the Jews
also may obtain mercy. For God has committed them all to disobedience, that He
might have mercy on all and so, all have sinned and come short of the glory of
God.
