The immutability of God and His laws

The truth about the immutability of God and His laws

It is imperative that we hold on to the fact that God and His word are both immutable and do not change as clearly state by the Lord who says; "For I am the LORD, I do not change; therefore you are not consumed, O sons of Jacob”. And with regards to the law, although no one is justified by the law in the sight of God and the just shall live by faith, nevertheless, the law is holy, just, good and spiritual (Malachi 3:6; Romans 7:12, 14).

The truth of the matter is, not being justified by keeping the law does not nullify it and makes it obsolete. On the contrary according to the apostle Paul; “Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law.” He said again; “What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, "You shall not covet." (Galatians 3:31; Romans 7:7).

Therefore it is preposterous for anyone to believe, or assume that the commandments of God are no longer in force. Anyone who believes or are in the assumption that the commandments of God are not in force, are under a huge cloud of deception. For Jesus Christ said categorically: “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.” He went on to validate the certainty of the commandments by saying; “For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled.

Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:17-19).

Therefore, although without a shadow of doubt, it is by grace we have been saved through faith, and that not of ourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast, we nevertheless are God's workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them and the good works which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them are all inscribed in His laws, the manual and guide book given to man in order for man to know how to live in the Spirit. The irony of truth is, there is a life which is in accordance to the laws of God, or in the Spirit, and there is a life which is in accordance to the flesh, or in accordance to the customs and traditions of men.

Now the one which is in accordance to the laws of God or in accordance to the Spirit, is a straight gate and a narrow way and only a few people will find it, but the way which is in accordance to the flesh, and traditions and customs of men, is wide and broad, and each one does what seems right in his/her own eyes, and walking after the imagination of their own hearts, and though it leads to destruction, there are many who goes through it.

Believers therefore, have been duly admonished saying; “I say then: Walk in the Spirit” (meaning, walking in accordance to the laws of God as Jesus plainly said, “  It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life.”) And you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. For the flesh lusts against the Spirit and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law” (Galatians 5: 16-18; John 6:63).

To live contrary to what is inscribed in the laws of God, is to live in accordance to the flesh, where, everyman does what seems right in his/her own eyes, and walks according to the imagination of his/her heart, unfortunately, this is the cause for the massive confusion that exists in the world, especially in the Christian religion, man has blatantly rejected the laws of God and holding tenaciously to the customs and traditions of men.

Despite the fact that Jesus Christ denounced it by saying; “This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me. and in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men:' For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men” (Matthew 15:9; Mark 7:6-8).

Now, not only are we to know and believe the truth about the immutability of God and His laws in order to avoid becoming a victim of deception, we also have to demonstrate our belief by obeying them. Because according to the apostle James; “What does it profit, my brethren, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can faith save him? If a brother or sister is naked and destitute of daily food, and one of you says to them, "Depart in peace, be warmed and filled," but you do not give them the things which are needed for the body, what does it profit? Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.'

“But someone will say, "You have faith, and I have works." Show me your faith without your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe --- and tremble! But do you want to know, O foolish man, that faith without works is dead? (James 2:15-20).

So the way one demonstrates his/her knowledge and belief in the truth about the immutability of God and His laws is by obeying them. For it is written; “Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, "I know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.” And Jesus said quite emphatically, “If you love Me, keep My commandments” (1John 2:3-5; John 14:15)

Therefore, being confident of the immutability of God and His laws and showing due respect to this fact is the first step towards avoiding being deceived regardless of how charismatic or appealing to the flesh the deceivers may appear to be.

Protocol in order to have fellowship with the Father

The question is, how many professing believers truly know, believe and are assertive of the password by which one gains access to the throne of grace despite the fact that Jesus Christ quite emphatically stated; “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).

For example, most professing believers do not comprehend the phraseology which states; “For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord's death till He comes.”

They do not know how often it should be taken when the Lord Himself spoke to Moses and said to him; “Command the children of Israel, and say to them, 'My offering, My food for My offerings made by fire as a sweet aroma to Me, you shall be careful to offer to Me at their appointed time” (Numbers 28:2).

There is therefore, a prescribed, ordained or appointed time for which we are to offer to the Lord the food for His offerings. Remember, the reformation did not do away with the ordinance it simply replaced the copy and the shadow with the reality, so instead of animal sacrifices with their food and drinks we now have Jesus Christ as our eternal High Priest, His body and blood in the form of the bread and wine as the food for the Lord’s offerings.

The other misunderstood factor concerning the fellowship of the mystery which the Father accomplished in Jesus Christ our Lord is the phraseology; “you proclaim or commemorate the Lord's death till He comes.”  The question is how do we proclaim or commemorate the Lord’s death until He comes?

To proclaim or commemorate the Lord’s death is a call to remembrance the purpose, the rationale and the reason for Christ’s death which is first and foremost to destroy the works of the devil which is sin and death as we have been duly admonished saying; “He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil” (1John 3:8).

Therefore, whenever we partake of the fellowship of the mystery which the Father accomplished in Jesus Christ we are destroying the works of the devil by having our sins forgiven and guaranteeing our eternal life Just as Jesus Christ plainly said; “Whoever eats My flesh and drinks My blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. For My flesh is food indeed, and My blood is drink indeed. He who eats My flesh and drinks My blood abides in Me, and I in him” (John 6:54-56).

Please note carefully that it is while we are having fellowship with one another at the appointed time ordained by the Lord Himself to offer to Him the food for His offerings that we get cleansed from our sins. As alluded to by the apostle John who wrote; “But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin” (1John 1:7).

Again note carefully that the word is “cleanses” something that is current and not cleansed as in the past. This also coincides with the statement made by the apostle Paul when he wrote; “Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. I speak as to wise men; judge for yourselves what I say. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion (fellowship) of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion (fellowship) of the body of Christ? For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread” (1Corinthians 10:14-17).

The apostle Paul had to chastise the church in Corinth due to the manner in which they partook of the fellowship offering, he said to them; “For first of all, when you come together as a church, I hear that there are divisions among you, and in part I believe it. For there must also be factions among you, that those who are approved may be recognized among you. Therefore when you come together in one place, it is not to eat the Lord's Supper. For in eating, each one takes his own supper ahead of others; and one is hungry and another is drunk. What! Do you not have houses to eat and drink in? Or do you despise the church of God and shame those who have nothing? What shall I say to you? Shall I praise you in this? I do not praise you” (1Corinthians 11:18-22).

But after chastising them for the manner in which they partook of the Lord’s Supper he then instructed them saying; “Therefore, my brethren, when you come together (as a church) to eat(the Lord’s supper) wait for one another. But if anyone is hungry, let him eat at home, lest you come together for judgment. And the rest I will set in order when I come” (1Corinthians 11:33-34).

And the possibility of coming together for judgment is as the result of not properly discerning the Lord’s body, by eating and drinking of the body and blood of Jesus Christ in an unworthy manner and it is for this reason many of us are weak, sick and some have died prematurely.

Another very important point to note is that, the main objective or the rationale for having a holy convocation is principally to offer the Lord the food for His offerings, for thus says the Lord; “These are the feasts of the LORD which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer an offering made by fire to the LORD, a burnt offering and a grain offering, a sacrifice and drink offerings, everything on its day.” And please note again carefully that, this offering is, besides (or in addition to) the Sabbaths of the LORD, besides your gifts, besides all your vows, and besides all your freewill offerings which you give to the LORD” (Leviticus 23:37-38),

But thanks be to God who has overlooked this time of ignorance and now commands all men everywhere to repent. I implore you therefore, let us be faithful stewards of the manifold wisdom of God.

Stewards of the manifold wisdom of God

Stewards of the manifold wisdom of God

One of the very important responsibility that has been assigned to the church is that of being stewards of the mystery of God’s wisdom which He ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory. Our responsibility is to make known to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, the eternal purpose which God the Father accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord (see Ephesians 3:9-12).

Unfortunately, the majority of believers have not grasped and understood the profoundness, the magnitude and the rationale of this fellowship of the mystery which the Father accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord. The main objective of this mystery of God’s wisdom is to fulfill God’s eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.

As one can clearly see, the main objective and rationale for this hidden wisdom of God is for us to have boldness and access (to the throne of grace) with confidence through faith in what God the Father accomplished in and through Jesus Christ as clarified and made abundantly clear by the apostle Paul who wrote: “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:19-25).

Please note carefully that, this secret wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory is, how we could have access with boldness to the presence of the Most High at His appointed time following the password and protocol which He has ordained for His people to follow.

Stewards of the mysteries of God

Stewards of the mysteries of God

The apostle Paul instructed the Corinthians saying, "Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God." I therefore beg to ask the question, what are the mysteries of God that we are to consider ourselves overseers as stewards?

Let us begin by first understanding the meaning of steward. A steward is one who is employed as a custodian or a manager over the affairs of another, and who is required to be found faithful. A typical example of this is illustrated in the following passage of scriptures.

Jesus Christ illustrated this by saying. "There was a certain rich man who had a steward, and an accusation was brought to him that this man was wasting his goods. So he called him and said to him, 'What is this I hear about you? Give an account of your stewardship, for you can no longer be steward" (Luke 16:1-2).

He also likened the kingdom of heaven like a landowner who went out early in the morning to hire laborers for his vineyard: "So when evening had come, the owner of the vineyard said to his steward, 'Call the laborers and give them their wages, beginning with the last to the first" (Matthew 20: 8).

And the apostle Paul who considered his obligation to preach the gospel as one who has been entrusted with a stewardship: For he wrote; "For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel! For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a stewardship" (1 Corinthians 9:17).

Or an heir as long as he is still a child, as stated by the apostle Paul who wrote; "Now I say that the heir, as long as he is a child, does not differ at all from a slave, though he is master of all, but is under guardians and stewards until the time appointed by the father" (Galatians 4:1-2).

A believer therefore should consider him/herself as a custodian or manager of whatever God has placed under his/her jurisdiction for which he later has to give an account as illustrated by Jesus Christ who said, "Who then is that faithful and wise steward, whom his master will make ruler over his household, to give them their portion of food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has" (Luke 1:42-44).

The other important question we need to consider is what exactly has been placed under our jurisdiction as stewards of the manifold wisdom of God?

The conflicting Christian religion (part four)

3.                  Professing Christians are being carried about with various and strange doctrines

The third reason why there are so many divisions in the Christian community it is because the majority of professing Christians rather follow the teachings and doctrines of men, instead of following the doctrines of Christ who is the same yesterday, today and forever. The worse indictment that has been labeled on the Christian community is that of vain worship. No wonder the Lord said quite emphatically; “Well did Isaiah prophesy of you hypocrites, as it is written: ' This people honors Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me.  And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.' For laying aside the commandment of God, you hold the tradition of men --- the washing of pitchers and cups, and many other such things you do." He said to them, "All too well you reject the commandment of God, that you may keep your tradition” (Mark 7:6-9).

Professing Christians are more inclined to believe and observe teachings and traditions that are nowhere found written or supported by scriptures, than those which are found written in the scriptures and clearly endorsed by the Lord and states; “Thus says the Lord.” Or, “I am the Lord.”

It is because professing Christians do not truly believe, or are ignorant of the fact that Jesus Christ, who is the same yesterday, today and forever, is the Lord God, that they fail to ascribe to Him the glory due to His name.

It is because professing Christians do not truly believe, or are ignorant of the fact that Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday, today and forever is the eternal High Priest of the Most High after the order of Melchizedek, that they fail to offer to Him the food for His offerings which is bread and wine, at the appointed time.

It is because professing Christians are ignorant, or have little or no regards to Jesus Christ as the Lord God, that they fail to worship Him in the beauty of holiness. For, “This is what the LORD spoke, saying: ' By those who come near Me I must be regarded as holy; And before all the people I must be glorified " (Leviticus 10:3).

God's plan for us even before the foundation of the world is that we be holy. For it is written; “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love, having predestined us to adoption as sons by Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, by which He made us accepted in the Beloved.'

“In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace which He made to abound toward us in all wisdom and prudence, having made known to us the mystery of His will, according to His good pleasure which He purposed in Himself, that in the dispensation of the fullness of the times He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven and which are on earth --- in Him” (Ephesians 1:3-10).

The mystery of God's will which He has made known to us is how we can have access to His throne with boldness and confidence.  For according to the apostle Paul, “To me, who am less than the least of all the saints, this grace was given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make all see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the ages has been hidden in God who created all things through Jesus Christ; to the intent that now the manifold wisdom of God might be made known by the church to the principalities and powers in the heavenly places, according to the eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord, in whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him” (Ephesians 3:8-12).

This is the mystery which the apostle Paul addressed as follows: “However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory” (1Corinthians 2:6-8).

This hidden mystery is how we now have the boldness and access to the throne of grace and have fellowship with the Father and the Son and with one another. This is an area which the majority of professing believers have not been able to conceptualize, ignoring the fact that God has absolutely no fellowship with darkness.

But truly, these times of ignorance God has overlooked, and now commands all men everywhere to repent, because He has appointed a day on which He will judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has ordained. He has given assurance of this to all by raising Him from the dead" (Acts 17:30-31).

The conflicting Christian religion (part 3)

2.                  Not believing that Jesus Christ is the Eternal High Priest of God

The second huge mistake that is plaguing  the Christian community and causing divisions in the body of Christ is the lack of awe, respect, reverence and adoration of Jesus Christ as the Eternal High Priest The irony of truth is, the offering of gifts and sacrifices for sins are an integral part and parcel of the worship services which are being conducted in the heavenly tabernacle, because when Moses was about to construct the earthly tabernacle, he was divinely instructed saying; "See that you make all things according to the pattern shown you on the mountain." And concerning the sacrifices that were offered, it is stated that; “... it was necessary that the copies of the things in the heavens should be purified with these, but the heavenly things themselves with better sacrifices than these” (Hebrews 8:5; 9:23).

It is stated clearly that Jesus Christ, “called by God as High Priest "according to the order of Melchizedek," whom we are told is the, “ king of Salem, priest of the Most High God, who met Abraham returning from the slaughter of the kings and blessed him, to whom also Abraham gave a tenth part of all, first being translated "king of righteousness," and then also king of Salem, meaning "king of peace, without father, without mother, without genealogy, having neither beginning of days nor end of life, but made like the Son of God, remains a priest continually” (Hebrews 5:10; 7:1-3).

There is only one begotten Son of God, who is Jesus Christ, and inasmuch as He was not made priest without an oath (for they (the Levites) have become priests without an oath, but He with an oath by Him who said to Him: "The LORD has sworn and will not relent, ' You are a priest forever According to the order of Melchizedek' "), by so much more Jesus has become a surety of a better covenant” (Hebrews 7:21-22).

Therefore, Jesus Christ as every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, but a body You have prepared for Me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. Then I said, 'Behold, I have come --- In the volume of the book it is written of Me ---  To do Your will, O God.' "

Previously saying, "Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them" (which are offered according to the law), then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Hebrews 10: 5-10).

Jesus Christ did not destroy the law or the prophets; instead He fulfilled them by taking away the first, which was a substitute, a copy and shadow of the reality, and replaced it with the second which is the reality. For as it is written; “For the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect. For then would they not have ceased to be offered? For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year. For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins” (Hebrews 10:1-4).

You see, the objective of the substitute which was to take away sins, and present the worshiper perfect and blameless before God was not taken away, it was the application of the substitute that was unprofitable, because, the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing. It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience --- concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation” (Hebrews 9:8-10).

The scripture further states; “But Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?

And for this reason He is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, that those who are called may receive the promise of the eternal inheritance” (Hebrews 9:11-15).

Because of this unbelief, or ignorance of Jesus Christ being the High Priest of God, people do not pay regards to the command which says; “Command the children of Israel, and say to them, 'My offering, My food for My offerings made by fire as a sweet aroma to Me, you shall be careful to offer to Me at their appointed time” (Numbers 28:2).

What the substitute could not attained, has now been attained by the reality, without making null and void the objective and the appointed time to offer the Lord the food for His offerings is still in effect, and this I find is a huge stumbling block among the majority of those who profess to be believers in Jesus Christ who is the Eternal High Priest, when it is clearly stated that. “For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this One (Jesus Christ) also have something to offer” (Hebrews 8:3)

We should also bear in mind the fact that, the main reason for having a holy convocation is to offer to the Lord the food for His offerings.

The conflicting Christian religion (part 2)

Despite the apostle Paul’s earnest plea to all believers which states, “Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.” Yet still sectarianism which is defined as being sinful is plaguing the Christian community because of the disbelief and lack of understanding of three basic things.

1.      Disbelief or ignorance of the fact that Jesus Christ is indeed the Lord God of the Old Testament

Although people profess to believe in Jesus Christ, they have not truly believed Him, and have not truly accepted Him as the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the End, the One Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty. For; “Thus says the LORD, the King of Israel, and his Redeemer, the LORD of hosts: ' I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God.

The irony of truth is, the Lord of hosts Who is the first and the last, Who is and Who was and Who is to come, the Almighty is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who is the same yesterday, today, and forever. It is He Who created the heavens, the earth, the seas, the springs of water, and all that are in them. It is He who, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through Him, and without Him nothing was made that was made. In Him was life, and the life was the light of men...And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.”

It is Jesus Christ Who, “is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist” (John1:1-4, 14; Colossians 1:16-17).

And according to the apostle Paul, “...there is no other God but one. For even if there are so-called gods, whether in heaven or on earth (as there are many gods and many lords), yet for us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we for Him; and one Lord Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and through whom we live” (1Corinthians 8:4-6).

Therefore, the Lord God of the Old Testament is our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who for example spoke the following words to Moses saying;

·         “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: 'Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the LORD who sanctifies you” (Exodus 31:13).

·          “You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary: I am the LORD” (Leviticus 19:30).

·         "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them: 'The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My feasts. Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a Sabbath of solemn rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work on it; it is the Sabbath of the LORD in all your dwellings. These are the feasts of the LORD, holy convocations which you shall proclaim at their appointed times” (Leviticus 23:2-4).

·         “Command the children of Israel, and say to them, 'My offering, My food for My offerings made by fire as a sweet aroma to Me, you shall be careful to offer to Me at their appointed time” (Numbers 28:2).

He is also the One who spoke to Ezekiel the prophet and said; “I am the LORD your God: Walk in My statutes, keep My judgments, and do them; hallow My Sabbaths, and they will be a sign between Me and you, that you may know that I am the LORD your God” (Ezekiel 20: 19-20).

Now since Jesus Christ quite emphatically said, “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill.  For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Whoever therefore breaks one of the least of these commandments, and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever does and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven” (Matthew 5:17-19).

I beg to ask the question, what is the status of these instructions the Lord gave to Moses, and to the prophet Ezekiel, since He said quite emphatically; “Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill?”

To all those who sincerely want to be obedient to the Lord, and to worship Him in spirit and in truth, let us be candid with ourselves and answer the following question; If the Lord of host, who is the beginning and the end, the one Who is, and was, and Who is to come the Almighty,  the One who says; " For I am the LORD, I do not change;” and Who is the same yesterday, today, and forever, instituted a way by which He is to be worshiped as the Lord, how can anyone assume that it is no longer applicable?

The only change that has been effected between the time the Lord revealed Himself to Moses and the children of Israel, and now is that, He took away the copy and shadow of the heavenly things, the substitutes, and replaced them with the reality, because they could not fulfill their objectives, and therefore had to be reformed.

The conflicting Christian religion

The Conflicting Christian religion

Why are there so many divergent views in the Christian religion? When there is undoubtedly according to the word of God, “one body and one Spirit, just as you (we) were called in one hope of your calling; one Lord, one faith, one baptism; one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you (us) all” (Ephesians 4:4-6).

I was appalled at a comment someone made from an article I wrote on “The church is charged for profaning the Lord's Holy Convocations.” The individual commented and said; “Who should the Christian follow, Jesus or Moses? At the mount of transfiguration, Moses and Elijah appeared with Jesus. A voice from heaven confirmed Jesus as the Son of God and the voice said "hear Him". Jesus told his followers to carry the gospel to the world and teach converts to observe everything he taught them. Jesus never said anything about "convocations."

If according to this individual, “Jesus never said anything about “convocations,” I therefore beg to ask the question, what is the status of the fourth commandment which clearly states, "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor and do all your work, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of the LORD your God. In it you shall do no work: you, or your son, or your daughter, or your male servant, or your female servant, or your cattle, or your stranger who is within your gates. For in six days the LORD made the heavens and the earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested the seventh day. Therefore the LORD blessed the Sabbath day and hallowed it?" (Exodus 20:8-11).

And why should Jesus say to the Pharisees; “The Sabbath was made for man, and not man for the Sabbath. Therefore the Son of Man is also Lord of the Sabbath." (Mark 2:27-28).

Then why should the apostle Paul who is the apostle to the Gentiles admonished us by saying; "For He has spoken in a certain place of the seventh day in this way: "And God rested on the seventh day from all His works”; and again in this place: "They shall not enter My rest." Since therefore it remains that some must enter it, and those to whom it was first preached did not enter because of disobedience, again He designates a certain day, saying in David, "Today," after such a long time, as it has been said: " Today, if you will hear His voice, Do not harden your hearts.'

“For if Joshua had given them rest, then He would not afterward have spoken of another day: There remains therefore a rest for the people of God. For he who has entered His rest has himself also ceased from his works as God did from His" (Hebrews 4:4-10).

The apostle Paul gave further admonitions by saying; “ And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching" (Hebrews 10:24-25).

Even in the coming Millennium convocations will be a part of the daily life, for it is written; “For as the new heavens and the new earth which I will make shall remain before Me," says the LORD, “So shall your descendants and your name remain.  And it shall come to pass That from one New Moon to another, and from one Sabbath to another, all flesh shall come to worship before Me," says the LORD” (Isaiah 66:22-23).

I believe that the reasons for all this babble of confusion that permeates the Christian religion, it is because of ignorance or disbelief of three significant things concerning Jesus Christ which are:
