Are we true witnesses of the Way? (part 4)

What exactly was revealed to the apostle Paul?

What was revealed to the apostle Paul was with regards to the Way. Jesus Christ, who is the Way and the truth and the life, and no one comes to the Father except through Him. What was revealed to the apostle Paul was “The mystery of Christ which in other ages was not made known to the sons of men;’ and ‘which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of Glory” (Ephesians .3:3-5; 1Corinthians 2:7-8).

The apostle Paul unveiled the mystery to the church at Corinth when he said to them, “For I have received from the Lord what I also passed on to you; The Lord Jesus, on the night He was betrayed, took bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and said, “This is My body, which is for you; do this in remembrance of Me.” In the same way, after supper He took the cup, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in My blood; do this, whenever you drink it, in remembrance of Me.” For whenever you eat this bread and drink this cup, you proclaim the Lord’s death until He comes” (1Corinthians 1:23-26).

The consummation of this mystery is the trademark of the Christian church. The apostle Paul wrote; “I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of His power. Although I am less that the least of all God’s people, this grace was given me; to preach to the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ, and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things. His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms according to His eternal purpose which He accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Ephesians 3:7-11).

It is also through the consummation of this mystery and having faith in Him, that we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

It is at the consummation of this mystery that believers enjoy fellowship with one another and with the Father and His Son Jesus Christ.
