The second established will of the Father

The second established will of the Father is therefore the source and the method ordained by the Father even before the foundation of the world for the sanctification, redemption, and justification of man which became valid and effective at the death of Jesus Christ, for where there is a testament, there must also of necessity be the death of the testator. For a testament is in force after men are dead, since it has no power at all while the testator lives. And in the case where there is more than one testament or will, the latter always takes precedence over the former.

And so, in God's first will for the sanctification, redemption and justification of man, there were three significant things that constituted this will; viz. An earthly tabernacle, animal sacrifices for sacrifices and offerings, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin, and temporary high priests.

But they were deemed unprofitable and useless: For it is stated that, “if that first covenant had been faultless, then no place would have been sought for a second. Because finding fault with them, He says: "Behold, the days are coming, says the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah --- not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day when I took them by the hand to lead them out of the land of Egypt; because they did not continue in My covenant, and I disregarded them, says the Lord” (Hebrews 8:7-9).

Now with the establishment of this second will, in that He says, "A new covenant," He has made the first obsolete. Now what is becoming obsolete and growing old is ready to vanish away. Therefore, when Jesus Christ came into the world He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. Then I said, 'Behold, I have come --- In the volume of the book it is written of Me --- To do Your will, O God.' "

Previously saying, "Sacrifice and offering, burnt offerings, and offerings for sin You did not desire, nor had pleasure in them" (which are offered according to the law), then He said, "Behold, I have come to do Your will, O God." He takes away the first that He may establish the second. By that will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all” (Hebrews 10:5-10).

The death of Jesus Christ therefore fulfilled the will of God for the sanctification of man, by doing away with the copy and shadow of the reality, which included the earthly tabernacle, the animal sacrifices for the different offerings, and the weakly temporary high priests, and replacing them with the reality.

And so it is written; “Now when these things had been thus prepared, the priests always went into the first part of the tabernacle, performing the services. But into the second part the high priest went alone once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the people's sins committed in ignorance; the Holy Spirit indicating this, that the way into the Holiest of All was not yet made manifest while the first tabernacle was still standing.

It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience ---concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation” (Hebrews 9:6-10).

But having established the second, we are told that, “Christ came as High Priest of the good things to come, with the greater and more perfect tabernacle not made with hands, that is, not of this creation. Not with the blood of goats and calves, but with His own blood He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, havin

g obtained eternal redemption. For if the blood of bulls and goats and the ashes of a heifer, sprinkling the unclean, sanctifies for the purifying of the flesh, how much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?” (Hebrews 9:11-14).

And so the death of Jesus Christ fulfilled God's will, and established the second once and for all, by the offering of His body which He applied in three ways.

The Established will of the Father

The establish will of the Father

To have a better understanding of the second established will of the Father it is imperative that we have a fair understanding of the first established will which was replaced by the second established will. The apostle Paul in the book of Hebrews wrote concerning Jesus Christ stating; “Therefore, when He came into the world, He said: "Sacrifice and offering You did not desire, But a body You have prepared for Me. In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin You had no pleasure. Then I said, 'Behold, I have come --- In the volume of the book it is written of Me --- To do Your will, O God. "

And so the second will of the Father which abolished and made obsolete the first established will of the Father has everything to do with the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once and for all: Because, according to the law on which the first will was established, the people were required to offer sacrifices and offerings which could not present the worshiper perfect before God.

As it is written; “It was symbolic for the present time in which both gifts and sacrifices are offered which cannot make him who performed the service perfect in regard to the conscience --- concerned only with foods and drinks, various washings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.”  And because, “the law, having a shadow of the good things to come, and not the very image of the things, can never with these same sacrifices, which they offer continually year by year, make those who approach perfect.”

The irony of truth is, if these sacrifices were able to meet their objectives, they would not have ceased to be offered. For the worshipers, once purified, would have had no more consciousness of sins. But in those sacrifices there is a reminder of sins every year: For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and goats could take away sins” (Hebrews 9:9-10; 10: 1-4).

Therefore, the first that was taken away was the substances used in the sacrifices and offering, burnt offerings, sin offerings and the one who offers them but not the offerings themselves and the appointed times which were ordained to offer to the Lord the food for His offerings as we have been duly instructed saying; "Command the children of Israel, and say to them, 'My offering, My food for My offerings made by fire as a sweet aroma to Me, you shall be careful to offer to Me at their appointed time" (Numbers 28:2).

And so the established will of God has everything to do with how we can have fellowship with the Father and with the Son and with one another in a perfect, blameless and irreproachable state in the sight of the Most High.

The fourth cornerstone of our salvation

 

1. Jesus Christ our Redemption

The fourth integral component for the unification of the body of Christ is to know, understand and believe that Jesus Christ is our redemption. There is no shadow of doubt that the blood is the one and only source of cleansing for we have been duly admonished saying; “For the life of every creature is in the blood, and God has given it to us to make atonement for ourselves on the altar; it is the blood that makes atonement for one’s life. In fact, the law requires that nearly everything be cleansed with blood, and without the shedding of blood there is no forgiveness (Leviticus 17:11; Hebrews 9:22).

And so it is, “In Him (Jesus Christ) that we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace that He lavished on us with all wisdom and understanding.’ “And He made known to us the mystery of His will according to His good pleasure, which He purposed in Christ, to put into effect when the times will have reached their fulfillment - to bring all things in heaven and on earth together under one head, even Christ” (Ephesians 1:7-10).

It is knowing, understanding and believing the wisdom of God in a mystery and applying it that will bring unity in the body of Christ because this is what gives us access to the Father and have fellowship with one another and with the Father and the Son as we have been duly instructed saying; “Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry. I speak as to wise men; judge for yourselves what I say. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion of the body of Christ? For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread” (1Corinthians 10:14-17).

The crux of the matter is, “God is light and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie and do not practice the truth. But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”

We have been further admonished saying; “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His word is not in us” (1John 1:5-10)

Please note carefully that, the cleansing from all sins and all unrighteousness is current denoting that it is a process that takes place during the fellowship service and it is by partaking of the cup of blessing which we bless when partaking of the cup of the New Covenant.

And so, the four cornerstone of our salvation is what we all need to know, understand, believe and rightfully apply that will bring unity in the church the body of Christ which is synonymous to the second establish will of the Father, the reformation and the new and living way to the Father

The third cornerstone of our salvation

 

3. Jesus Christ our Sanctification

The third integral component for the unification of the body of Jesus Christ is to know, understand and believe that Jesus Christ is our Sanctification, holiness, or our separation from sin and demonstrating this belief by following the established protocol which is made possible by being obedient to the word of God which says; “You must observe My Sabbaths, this will be a sign between Me and you for the generations to come, so that you may know that I am the Lord who (sanctifies, set you apart) makes you holy. Observe the Sabbath because it is holy to you…Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the LORD” (Exodus 31:14-15).

It is imperative for us to note that there is a protocol and an established formula by which one becomes sanctified, holy or set apart and the Lord has established specific times to accomplish this purpose. For this is what the Lord spoke to Moses saying; “Command the children of Israel, and say to them, 'My offering, My food for My offerings made by fire as a sweet aroma to Me, you shall be careful to offer to Me at their appointed time” (Numbers 28:2).

The time which the Lord has ordained to present to Him the food for His offerings is holy both to the Lord and His people and what makes it holy for both the Lord and His people it is because this is the time the Lord has sanctified and set apart for His people to have fellowship with one another and with the Father and the Son.

Now our sanctification or holiness is derived from partaking of the body of Jesus Christ as we have been duly admonished saying; “Then Aaron and his sons shall eat the flesh of the ram, and the bread that is in the basket, by the door of the tabernacle of meeting. They shall eat those things with which the atonement was made, to consecrate and to sanctify them; but a stranger shall not eat them, because they are holy” (Exodus 29:33).

In like manner, due to the reformation and in our new dispensation in order to be holy must eat of those things with which the atonement was made; which is, the broken body of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ represented by the unleavened bread and the shed blood of Jesus Christ represented by the wine, to consecrate and sanctify us because once we were alienated from God and were enemies in our minds because of our evil behavior; but now He (God the Father) has reconciled us by Christ’s physical body through death to present us holy in His sight, without blemish and free from accusation” (Colossians 1:21-22).

The main reason why the body of Christ (the church) is so divided and in disarray it is because they are not taking the formula and protocol which the Lord has established for the unification of His church and access to the throne of grace seriously; most people treat the key to the unification of the church as a metaphor despite the clear passage of scripture which states: “Therefore, my beloved, flee from idolatry.

I speak as to wise men; judge for your-selves what I say. The cup of blessing which we bless, is it not the communion (fellowship) of the blood of Christ? The bread which we break, is it not the communion (fellowship) of the body of Christ? For we, though many, are one bread and one body; for we all partake of that one bread” (1Corinthians 10:14-17).

Whether one wants to believe and accept it or not, this is the key to the unification of the body of Jesus Christ (the church) because this is what gives us the boldness and confidence to enter the Holiest of All as we have been duly admonished saying; “Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh, and having a High Priest over the house of God, let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water.’

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching” (Hebrews 10:19-25).

It is so sad to see how the majority of professing believers have not come to the realization and comprehension of this most important aspect of our calling.  I remembered explaining the significance of this ritual to an “evangelist” who was boastful of how many continents and countries he has travelled preaching and teaching others and his remarks to me was; “a piece of bread? Thus undermining the significance of the unleavened bread which Jesus Christ instituted to represent His broken body as the means of our sanctification.

The second Cornerstone of our Salvation

Jesus Christ our Righteousness

The second integral component for the unification of the body of Christ is to know, understand and believe that Jesus Christ is our Righteousness Who as our High Priest intervenes, makes intercessions and make things right with the Father on our behalf. He is the word of God which is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart which convicts the individual to bring about a change and transformation, so that the body may be presented as a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which is our spiritual act of worship.

However, this necessitating that we; "Live a life worthy of the calling which we have received, and be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love, and make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. For Christ Himself bore our sins in His body [flesh] on the tree, so that we might die to sin and live for righteousness. And remember also that Christ our righteousness set us an example that we should follow His steps.

For, “Christ loved the church and gave Himself for it, that He might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that He might present it to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that it should be holy and without blemish” (Ephesians 4:25-27).

 And not only did He set us and example that we should follow His steps but He also understands our weaknesses and sympathize with us as we have been duly instructed saying; “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Hebrews 4:14-16).

The plan which the Lord has for His church was foreordained before the foundation of the world: "For He chose us in Christ before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in His sight. In love He predestined us to be adopted as His sons through Jesus Christ, in accordance with His pleasure and will - to the praise of His glorious grace, which He has freely given us in the One He loves” (Ephesians 1:4-6).

As High Priest it is the duty and responsibility of Jesus Christ to offer gifts and sacrifices on our behalf as we have been duly instructed saying; “Therefore, in all things He had to be made like His brethren, that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people: For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted” (Hebrews 2:17-18).

“For every high priest taken from among men is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.” And. “For every high priest is appointed to offer both gifts and sacrifices. Therefore it is necessary that this One also have something to offer” (Hebrews 5:1; 8:3).

Jesus Christ therefore as our High Priest, our Righteousness, the One who intercedes on our behalf and makes things right with the Father has to offer gifts and sacrifices to the Father on our behalf in order that we can have fellowship with one another and with the Father and the son.

First Cornerstone of our Salvation

The four cornerstone of our salvation

1. Jesus Christ our wisdom from God

Jesus Christ the Word of God by Whom and for Whom all things exists and in Whom we all live and move and have our existence as we have been duly instructed saying; “He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation. For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for Him. And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist” (Acts 17:28; Colossians 1:15-17).

Jesus divested Himself of all this power and took on the nature of sinful man in order to fulfill the plan which God pre-ordained before the foundation of the world for the salvation of humanity which none of the rulers of this world knew for had they know they would not have crucified the Lord of glory as we have been duly instructed saying; “However, we speak wisdom among those who are mature, yet not the wisdom of this age, nor of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, the hidden wisdom which God ordained before the ages for our glory, which none of the rulers of this age knew; for had they known, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory” (1Corinthians 2:6-8).

So if only believers knew, understand and believe in the rationale for this hidden mystery which was hidden in Christ even before the foundation of the world for our glory and learn to demonstrate our love, appreciation and gratitude to the Father for what He has done we would not be so divided as we are today.

The Lord's heart-felt prayer, how can it be fulfilled

The church which is the body of Christ, the true believers, can be perfectly united in mind and thought if they all believe and practice the system which Jesus Christ has ordained and established for them to follow. It is the heartfelt desire of Jesus Christ for His church to be at one with each other as illustrated by Hs prayer to the Father stating; “Now I am no longer in the world, but these are in the world, and I come to You. Holy Father, keep through Your name those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We are…And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one” (John 17: 11,22).

The apostle Paul also echoed similar sentiment by urging the members of the church saying; “Now I plead with you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment…Nevertheless, to the degree that we have already attained, let us walk by the same rule, let us be of the same mind” (1Corinthians 1:10; Philippians 3:16).

I therefore beg to ask the question, why are the Lord’s heart-felt prayer to the Father on behalf of the church and the Apostle Paul’s plea to the church not being realized to day? What is the root cause of the problem? Finding the root cause of the problem believing it and applying it will definitely help resolve this issue

The root cause of this division in the body of Christ (the church) is “IRREVERENCE” which is lack of due respect or veneration or being disrespectful to the Sovereignty, Majesty and Kingship of the heavenly Father.

Remember, Jesus Christ paid the price of sin for everyone for we have been duly instructed saying; “For the love of Christ compels us, because we judge thus: that if One died for all, then all died; and He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again” (2Cornthians 5:14-15).

It is also a fact that we all raised together with Him as we have been duly instructed saying; “But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us, even when we were dead in trespasses, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved), and raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus” (Ephesians 2:4-6).

We have also been duly instructed saying that, “He has made from one blood every nation of men to dwell on all the face of the earth, and has determined their pre-appointed times and the boundaries of their dwellings, that they should seek the Lord, in the hope that they might grope for Him and find Him, though He is not far from each one of us; for in Him we live and move and have our being, as also some of your own poets have said, 'For we are also His offspring.' Therefore, since we are the offspring of God, we ought not to think that the Divine Nature is like gold or silver or stone, something shaped by art and man's devising” (Acts 17:26-29).

Our status therefore is, “For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither slave nor free, there is neither male nor female; for you are all one in Christ Jesus” (Galatians 3: 25-28).

We have also been given a stern warning saying; “Who are you to judge another's servant? To his own master he stands or falls. Indeed, he will be made to stand, for God is able to make him stand.” And, “There is one Lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy. Who are you to judge another?” (Romans 14:4; James 4:12).

But does this means that one is at liberty to do as one pleases? Or are there specific guidelines as to how one should live? The crux of the matter is, no one is an independent creature one is either a slave (servant) of sin or a slave (servant) of righteousness as we have been duly instructed saying; “Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves slaves to obey, you are that one's slaves whom you obey, whether of sin leading to death, or of obedience leading to righteousness? And the truth of the matter is, the one who is a slave of sin is free from righteousness and likewise, the one who is a slave of righteousness is free from sin (Romans 6:16; 18; 22).

It is therefore imperative that we all know, understand and believe this act of obedience which leads to righteousness and then to holiness and ultimately leads to everlasting life or the immortality of the human body.

The plan which God has ordained for the unification of His church is being administered in four (4) distinctive ways and four integral parts namely; the four cornerstone of our salvation; the second established will of the Father; the reformation and the new and living way to the Father, which if every believer knew, understand, believe and put into practice would fulfill the Lord’s heartfelt prayer on behalf of the church.
