6. The sixth step is the time of harvesting
This is the time when we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he/she has done, whether good or bad, and let no one deceive him/herself, God is not mocked; for whatever a person sows, that he/she will also reap. For the one who sows to his/her flesh, will of the flesh reap corruption, and he/she who sows to the Spirit, will of the Spirit reap everlasting life (2 Corinthians 5:10; Galatians 6:7-8).
In the final analysis the fruit that we are
expected to bear is the fruit of the Holy Spirit which is synonymous to the
nature of Jesus Christ as alluded to by the apostle Paul who wrote; My little
children, for whom I labor in birth again until Christ is formed in you” (Galatians 4:19).
We should always bear in mind the admonition
which reads; “For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us,
leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: Who committed no sin,
nor was deceit found in His mouth: Who, when He was reviled, did not revile in
return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed Himself to Him who
judges righteously; Who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that
we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness --- by whose stripes you
were healed” (1Peter 2:21-24).
Therefore, the fruits that should be quite
evident and manifested in our lives should be; love, joy, peace, longsuffering,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control because, the fruit
of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth, finding out what is
acceptable to the Lord and against such there is no law.
