The Prophet Isaiah
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder. And His name will be called Wonderful, Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Of the increase of His government and peace there will be no end, upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, to order it and establish it with judgment and justice from that time (birth) forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this” (Isaiah 9:6-7).
· The shepherds
Who after receiving the good news from the angel who said to them; “I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David a Savior, who is Christ the Lord.” And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, goodwill toward men" (Luke 2:10.13).
· The wise men from the East
Who upon entering Jerusalem asked “Where is He who has been born King of the Jews? For we have seen His star in the East and have come to worship Him." And even when they had come into the house and saw the young Child with Mary His mother, they fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures, they presented gifts to Him: gold, to honor Him as King; frankincense to honor Him as God and myrrh to honor Him as Man” (Matthew 2:1-2, 11).
· King Herod
Whom when he saw that he was deceived by the wise men became exceedingly angry; and he sent forth and put to death all the male children who were in Bethlehem and in all its districts, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the wise men! Because he knew of the Kingship of Jesus and wanted to kill Him in order to preserve his kingdom.
·
Jesus’ appearance
before Pilate
Jesus in appearing before Pilate was asked; “Are You a
king then?" Jesus answered, "You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born and
for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the
truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice" (John 18:37).
·
Jesus’ death on the cross
Even
though this title was used as a mockery but it shows that, everyone knew that He
was indeed the king of the Jews because, when they had twisted a crown of
thorns, they put it on His head, and a reed in His right hand. And they bowed
the knee before Him and mocked Him, saying, "Hail, King of the Jews!"
And they put up over His head the accusation written against Him: THIS IS JESUS
THE KING OF THE JEWS” (Matthew 27:29, 37).
Therefore,
Jesus Christ being the King of the Jews was definitely no secret to all those
who knew Him and this tittle belongs to Him from birth and forever.

The revelation of
the apostle John
The revelation the apostle John saw with regards to
the kingship of Jesus Christ is stated as follows; “Now I saw heaven opened,
and behold, a white horse. And He who sat on him was called Faithful and True
and in righteousness He judges and makes war. His eyes were like a flame of
fire, and on His head were many crowns. He had a name written that no one knew
except Himself. He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is
called The Word of God. And the armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white
and clean, followed Him on white horses. Now out of His mouth goes a sharp
sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And He Himself will rule them
with a rod of iron. He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath
of Almighty God. And He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written: KING
OF KINGS AND LORD OF LORDS” (Revelation 19:11-16).
As scriptures clearly points out there is a Feast
specifically ordained by the Lord so that the nations can come to honor and
worship the King of kings and Lord of lords and this festival is intertwined
with a yearly Jewish festival called the Feast of Tabernacles meaning that,
these two festivals are synonymous and so when you observe one you
automatically observe the other.
For this is what the prophet Zechariah wrote “And it shall
come to pass that everyone who is left of all the nations which came against
Jerusalem shall go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts,
and to keep the Feast of Tabernacles. And it shall be that whichever of the
families of the earth do not come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, the LORD
of hosts, on them there will be no rain. If the family of Egypt will not come
up and enter in, they shall have no rain; they shall receive the plague with
which the LORD strikes the nations who do not come up to keep the Feast of
Tabernacles” (Zechariah 14:16-18).
I therefore beg to ask the question, since Jesus
Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever why are we not observing and
commemorating the festival of the King of kings, the Lord of lords and
observing the Feast of Tabernacles but are instead observing the pagan festival
of Christmas?
