3. The date of Jesus’ death points to the date of His birth\
To those who are still not convinced of the date of Jesus’ birth let us look at one more piece of evidence which is, the date of Jesus’ death because the date of His death points to the date of His birth. It is clearly stated that, “Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age, being (as was supposed) the son of Joseph, the son of Heli” (Luke 3:23).
Jesus’ ministry began during the Feast of
Tabernacles for this is what is written in scriptures stating “Now the Jews' Feast
of Tabernacles was at hand. His brothers therefore said to Him, "Depart
from here and go into Judea, that Your disciples also may see the works that
You are doing. For no one does anything in secret while he himself seeks to be
known openly. If You do these things, show Yourself to the world." For
even His brothers did not believe in Him. Then Jesus said to them, "My
time has not yet come, but your time is always ready. The world cannot hate
you, but it hates Me because I testify of it that its works are evil. You go up
to this feast. I am not yet going up to this feast, for My time has not yet
fully come" (John 7:2-8).
But
later on we are told that, “But when His brothers had gone up, then He also
went up to the feast, not openly, but as it were in secret.” Now about the
middle of the feast Jesus went up into the temple and taught. And the Jews
marveled, saying, "How does this Man know letters, having never
studied?" Jesus answered them and said, "My doctrine is not Mine, but
His who sent Me” (John 7:10, 14-16).
Therefore, since the ministry of Jesus Christ began at the age of thirty during the Feast of Tabernacles which begins on the fifteenth day of the seventh month of the year, and His ministry lasted for three and half (3 ½) years and ended on the fourteenth (14th) day of the first month on the year, this means that Jesus Christ would have celebrated His thirty fourth (34Th) birthday on the fifteenth (15th) day of the seventh month which coincides with the Jewish Feast of Tabernacles.
Truly,
these times of ignorance God has overlooked but now commands all men everywhere
to repent because, the date of Jesus’ birth has never been a secret or unknown,
we simply have been deceived and we choose to follow the customs and traditions
of men than following the commandments of God.
